Ejaculation Disorders

There are three different types of ejaculation disorders, they are as follows:

  • Premature ejaculation: This refers to a condition sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to delay or control ejaculation as long as desired.
  • Inhibited or retarded ejaculation: This is when occurrence of ejaculation is slow.
  • Retrograde ejaculation: This occurs when semen, is redirected to the urinary bladder which would normally be ejaculated through the urethra.
Premature and retarded ejaculations are sometimes caused by a lack of appeal felt by a man in his partner or any past trauma. A psychological factor could also be a reason behind these conditions. Though most people think that Erectile Dysfunction is the Most Common Sexual Problem Effecting Men, but they are wrong as the most common sexual problem among men is premature ejaculation, or early ejaculation - when men feel they have no control over when they climax, often because of nervousness about the performance during sex. Certain drugs, including some anti-depressants, may affect ejaculation, as can nerve damage to the spinal cord or back.

Retrograde ejaculation is commonly found in men suffering from diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage). After surgery on the bladder neck or prostate, abdominal area this problem may arise. In addition, certain medications, mainly those which are used to treat mood disorders, may cause problems with ejaculation.

What is erectile dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction (ED, "male impotence", or "Baby-D Syndrome") is a sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to attain and/or maintain an erection suitable for satisfactory intercourse.

What is inhibited sexual desire?
A person with ISD or loss of libido is a man having a low level of sexual desire for, sexual activity. A reduced libido can result from psychological or physical factors such as anxiety and depression or associated with low levels of the hormone testosterone.
